Wesley Girls ban hijab-wearing and the use of Quran

The authorities of Wesley Girls Senior High School have reportedly placed a ban on the wearing of the hijab and the use of the Quran on campus.
According to a report by MyglobalTrend, the authorities of Wesley Girls Senior High school have banned any and every form of Islamic activities at the school.
And interestingly, the ban isn’t just against the use of the Quran and wearing of the hijab but also the ban affects the worship and praying to Allah as well.
The news of this sudden action by the authorities of the school comes off the back of the Achimota admission brouhaha between authorities of Achimota School, the GES, Akora and two Rastafarian first-year students who’ve been denied admission at the school.
Speaking to representatives of MyNewsGh, old students amongst parents of Muslim wards at the school have expressed their displeasure at the ‘level of bitterness’ the school has metered against the Islamic community.
Speaking, one student of the school revealed that their Muslim friends of theirs hide in dormitories to pray something even though the school frowns on it but then they do it out of courage and their love and respect to Allah.
One parent revealed that although they don’t have an issue with the school authorities asking their children to attend church services on campus, the school has on several occasions expressed disdain against the Islamic religion.
Another parent revealed that her daughter’s Quran and hijab were returned to her upon checks while her ward was reporting to school.
