Ugandan Christian University student identified as Lorita Blessy Asimwe is reported dead after a church a collapsed on her.
Her deceased was injured when the roof of an auditorium collapsed on her and other parishioners at House of Rest Church in the Fido Dido building in Kampala during lunchtime prayers on Monday, March 15.
She took her last breath Tuesday while she was at the Mulago National Referral Hospital, where she had been rushed for treatment after the incident.
Asimwe was buried on Wednesday, March 17, at Kangulumira in Kayunga district, where her family and friends praised her for her generosity.

Emmanuel Opolot, the deceased’s cousin, described her as a cheerful, charming and jovial entrepreneur in the making.
“Even when she was a living person, she was also a responsible citizen because she had a small business of Chupa ku Chupa with which she made a living and also supported it. Chupa ku Chupa was a deal she had backed with beverage distributors to promote their brands, Opolot said.
Ms. Molly Kangume, a colleague who shared a class with the deceased since 2017 when they both enrolled at UCU, described Asimwe’s passing as a shock, as she had been at a social event with friends the day before.
