Lightning strike kills one, four in critical condition at Assin Akropong







A forty-year-old man at Assin Akropong in the Central Region has joined his ancestors following a lightning strike that hit him.
Known as Kojo Adu, the victim’s stomach and an amount of 60 cedis that was in pocket got burnt due to the impact of the strike.
His body has, however, been deposited at the St. Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu.
The other four victims including an 8-year-old boy are currently receiving treatment at St Francis Xavier Hospital.
According to information gathered by Yaw Boateng, a representative of Kasapa News, the victims were returning from their farm when the lightning struck.
Due to the heavy downpour, the family were forced to find shelter. Minutes after the lightning struck killing Kojo Adu instantly and seriously injuring the 4 others.
