Aliko Dangote is Africa’s richest man and the founder and chairman of Dangote Group. Dangote Cement is the continent’s largest producer of cement which produces about 45.6 million metric tons yearly and available in over 10 countries in Africa.
Dangote also has a salt and sugar manufacturing company which produces large output daily. Dangote has been building an oil refinery since 2016 which is expected to be one of the largest oil refineries in the would once it is completed. He hails from Kano in the Northern part of Nigeria and studied business studies and administration at Al-Azhar University, Cairo
According to Forbes he has an estimated net worth of $8.3 billion making him the richest man in Africa and 162nd richest man in the world. Dangote is also a philanthropist engaged in so many philanthropic works, He joined fellow billionaires Bill and Melinda Gates in the fight against polio and malaria and donated 200 million naira in the fight against coronavirus in 2020
